Arr. Glen Tuomaala
I like polkas. They are fun to play and this arrangement is no different.
104 measures if you take all of the repeats in the written keys of F and Bflat major.
I would consider skipping some of the repeats, but that’s your decision.
Also, the Horn 4 part is in treble clef, but has some limited bass clef sections (don’t be afraid of bass clef). It’s not the whole part; just a few sections.
If you get to play the 4th part don’t complain about it. Ask for help.
Whatever you do avoid complaining about it. You’ll be fine; you’ll figure it out.
There people out there who make a living playing 4th horn in professional orchestras. They love it. The skill set is insane, but they are also normally really nice. Just don’t complain.
I’ve played this arrangement and it works . Your audience might not recognize it, but they will like it.
It’s a polka. Polka.
